At Nanda, we think of the things that are missing from our lives and create them.
It is quite simple. Our ideas come from ordinary questions like 'Why does my alarm do such a terrible job of getting me up?' and 'Why can't I find a bag that makes it easy to carry my heavy laptop around?' Then, from these ordinary questions, we set out to create extraordinary products. Things that are at once both simple and exceptional.
We combine quality materials with unique designs where functionality is key. Nanda products have captivated the attention of thousands and have been recognized all over, from late night talk shows like Jay Leno and the New York Times 'Year In Ideas' magazine, to popular publications like ID, Inc. and Time Out New York magazines.
Nanda was started by Gauri Nanda when she was a graduate student at the MIT Media Lab. The Clocky alarm clock evolved out of Gauri's own need for an alarm clock that wouldn't let her snooze repeatedly. She created a prototype for a class project and a flurry of unexpected attention by the press ensued. Prior to MIT, Gauri worked for Apple computer.
